This is the personal blog of writer SG Young. My blog includes real-life (Rock), thoughts (Paper) and fiction (Bonfire). Hence the title.

I sometimes write about my family, including my wife and adult sons. I’m published in magazines, no book yet. I was educated at the University of Illinois (B.S.) and University of Chicago (M.A.), but please don’t hold this against these fine institutions.

Current writing projects include stories, essays, and poetry pieces. Historical fiction, sketchy views on B&W movies & thrilling travel adventures are all topics of interest.
